I had a small issue with my window not closing properly, but the receptionist at L'Escale was helpful and quickly moved me to a different room. Even though the hotel didn't have WiFi in the rooms, the fine seaside view more than made up for it. Plus, the convenient parking and proximity to the FRAC art gallery were added bonuses. I had a nice stay with a great price/quality ratio.

Functional room, clean, close to beach and restaurants, secure parking available for classic cars, short drive to car ferry. Made welcome, David in reception very helpful, drove us into town and showed best places to go. Great location for beach and beachfront restaurants, clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Website accurately describes services: good service, breakfast, clean room, and bathroom. Internet available at reception. Recommend.

The hotel had a great location, very close to a major transportation hub, making it easy for us to explore the surrounding area. Additionally, the staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with useful information and allowing us to store our luggage securely. One of the best aspects was the affordable price, allowing us to stay within our budget without compromising on convenience.
The floor was dirty and could have used a good sweep and mop. Additionally, the bathroom sink didn't drain properly, which was unpleasant.

We stayed at L'Escale in Dunkirk for a family vacation. The hotel's great location allowed us to easily explore the area, and the clean and spacious room and bathroom provided a comfortable stay. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially considering our limited French-speaking abilities, and the free parking was a bonus. We booked a 6 bed room with an en suite, which was perfect for our family of five. We even took a lovely walk to Bastion 28 and visited the nearby museum. The basic and affordable amenities met our needs, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations with croissants, breads, cereals, and juice.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

We recently stayed at a hotel in Dunkirk and had a very positive experience. The location was superb, just a short walk away from the center and the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, which had all the necessary amenities. The staff were friendly and provided good service, making us feel welcome during our stay. The continental breakfast offered a good variety of options, including fresh croissants and delicious coffee. Parking was available, although the gates were not functioning properly. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was exceptional. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay in Dunkirk.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our Christmas getaway. It was so close to the beach, giving us a beautiful view and allowing us to take long walks along the shore. Additionally, the secure parking provided peace of mind for our car during our stay. The continental breakfast included was a nice touch, with fresh croissants, delicious juices, and excellent coffee. It gave us a good start to our day.
One of the biggest disappointments was the lackluster cooked breakfast. We paid extra for it, expecting a hearty meal, but instead, we were served a meager portion consisting of only one fried egg, a couple of tiny bacon rashers.
